The image of the Boudoir has long been (certainly 1795) associated with sex and sensuality. In the collective imagination, it has almost become a place of perversion.
Can you see it in the films of the time, when these gentlemen retire from the table to smoke cigars and talk about serious things? Women* did exactly the same thing. In the Boudoir.
With my tattoo studio, I'm reclaiming this place, this idea and even this action that the Boudoir really is.
By reclaiming this name, I'm reminding people that women* didn't wait until 1960 to get together, regroup and discuss the oppressions they still suffer today. My Boudoir is certainly an intimate place. It's a place where we get together to talk seriously about what we're going to tattoo on your body, and sometimes even more personal matters. These exchanges are a form of mutual support that can lead to action, changes in point of view and behavior.
Everyone is welcome in my Boudoir.
Please note that you will be notified of any racist, sexist, homophobic, genderphobic and generally validist comments. Those comments won't be tolerated. With this in mind, I also appreciate you bringing any indelicacies on my part to my attention.
The skin is a "canvas" that loosens up. One of the tasks of a professional tattoo artist is to conceptualize a design that anticipates this change and get old together with you. Not before.
At our first meeting, we'll talk about your ideas. Ideally, you'll come with a few ideas and references. I'll tell you what I think is possible with a view to creating a tattoo that will age well, in a harmonious composition.
I'll then sketch a little to get closer to a design that would be suitable for the body.
At the end of our first meeting, once we've agreed on the concept (location, elements that make up the design and size), we'll set a date to start the tattoo.
I encourage you to visit my Instagram or my page here to discover my style. You'll find everything you need to get an idea of what your tattoo will look like when it's finished.
Before blocking a tattoo appointment in my schedule, I ask for a deposit of 200CHF.
You can find more details about my prices in the "Pricing" section of the website.
I was born in 1987 in Marseille, South of France, and after school I studied art history there. When I discovered artists like Lea Nahon and Adrian Lee, I realized that tattoos can be much more than a mere fashion accessory - an artistic expression.
In 2008 I started tattooing and since then I have been passionate about developing my clients' projects. After a few years as a guest tattoo artist and stays in studios in France, Scotland, New-York and Switzerland, I opened my own studio in Basel in 2019.
